Sian Basker

Dama UK committee member and Co-CEO of Data Orchard

Sian has spent over 30 years exploring new frontiers in data and digital technology and bringing the benefits to the nonprofit sector. She is a Dama UK committee member and Co-CEO of Data Orchard, an award-winning UK social enterprise focused on helping organisations get better with data. Since 2015, She has led their pioneering work on organisational data maturity including the design of assessment and benchmarking tools, (on which UK Government’s framework is based). Sian has an MSc in ‘Data Science and Analytics’ and a BSc Hons in ‘Mathematics and Science & Technology Policy’. She champions the ‘data4good’ cause through public speaking and training.
