Justin Cormack

Justin Cormack was born in London, and grew up in the era of the UK early home computers, with a BBC Micro, learning programming with help from other kids at school and his mother. He was educated at Cambridge and Imperial College, and started using open source commercially in his first startup, which among other things ran the first LED displays in Piccadilly Circus on Linux machines. He went on to run the engineering team working on open source content management.

Another startup was acquired by Docker, where he has been working since, previously in engineering and security and now as the CTO. He has been involved in the open source container and cloud native ecosystem over this period, serving on the CNCF Technical Oversight Committee for four years and speaking at many events, and supporting others in their journey in open source focused businesses.
