Bio

Emma Mulholland runs a Belfast-based Product Practice built on a simple promise: make better product decisions, and build the capability to keep making them. Through workshop facilitation, practitioner training, coaching and fractional product leadership, she helps organisations understand their customers’ biggest problems, and equips their teams to keep solving them without her.

As Head of Innovation & Client Delivery at Flax & Teal, she oversaw all delivery and client relationships including public sector heritage platforms built on Arches, such as the Queensland Heritage Register (qhr.detsi.qld.gov.au) She also scoped BRACE, a proposed open-source, AI-ready semantic knowledge graph for insurers and resilience planners to model catastrophic environmental risk.

She brings 20+ years of product experience across startups and enterprises, including SaaS (ShopKeep, acquired by Lightspeed) and insurance (Allstate), and was most recently Product Advisor to StormHarvester, Deloitte’s fastest-growing technology company in Ireland. She has been a corporate trainer for Mind the Product since 2017.

Emma is a longstanding champion of inclusive innovation in Northern Ireland’s tech community: co-founder of ProductTank Belfast, coach on the Catalyst Co-Founders programme, and organiser behind Lean Coffee Belfast, NIDC, Women Techmakers and Product Camp Belfast.
