Anandhi Bumstead, director of engineering at OpenSearch within Amazon Web Services, brings nearly three decades of experience in distributed systems and open-source software. With a background in cloud computing, Anandhi made significant contributions during her tenure at Microsoft and most recently at AWS, where she leads engineering for the open-source OpenSearch Project. Beyond the tech world, Anandhi enjoys a variety of outdoor hobbies, with a particular love for spending time in the mountains. She holds a Master’s degree in computer science from the University of Washington and a Master’s in engineering from Arizona State University. She is the technical chair of the OpenSearch Project and part of the governing board of the OpenSearch Software Foundation.
