Chief Technology Officer

Shaz is a technology professional who is currently the Head of Software Engineering at O2 UK. Responsible for their consumer facing applications. He brings over 20 years of experience in Opensource software, having built applications and infrastructure in various industries. He is assuming responsibility for building out a secure and scalable platform to carry out OpenUK’s mission. Shaz enjoys the challenges of solving interesting problems, whether that be on software or infrastructure architecture, production engineering, team culture or growth. He is passionate about the DevOps ecosystem as well as implementing the practices and principles that have arisen from this.

Shaz has an MSc in Networks and Information Security as well as a BSc in Computer Science, both from Kingston University.
