Bio

Adam Fowler is the founder of The Herald Project, an opensource software group specialising in healthcare and used during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Bilberry Software Ltd a UK based IT consultancy and software group. Adam Fowler was lead architect of the UK COVID-19 app from Mar-Jun 2020, and then founded the opensource Herald Project under Linux Foundation Public Health. This project’s software was used in the Australian and Alberta Canada’s COVID-19 apps. It is now the only opensource digital contact tracing and healthcare orientated reliable communications project. Current work is on opensource modular wearables, secure MESH networks in hospitals, and helping people manage their own medical information securely. Adam has a background in the software industry, and also opensource hardware, and security testing.
